This is ELARO Journal.
Not a blog in the traditional sense. Not a place for announcements, promotions, or product launches. A journal — in the original meaning of the word. A record of things we find worth thinking about, worth sharing, worth returning to.
We started ELARO because we believed the things we make for the animals we love should be held to the same standard as everything else in our lives. This journal exists for the same reason: to think carefully, write honestly, and share what we are learning along the way.
Here is what you will find.
Pet Stories
Real stories about real animals and the people who love them. Rescues and adoptions. Dogs who changed someone's life. Cats who arrived uninvited and never left. We collect these stories because we believe they matter — not as content, but as a record of what it actually means to share your life with an animal.
We also accept submissions. If you have a story you would like to share, we would genuinely like to read it.
Brand Story
The thinking behind ELARO. Why we make what we make, how we make decisions, what we have gotten wrong and what we are trying to do better. We write here when we have something worth saying — not on a schedule, but when there is something real to share.
If you want to understand what this company actually is, this is the place to start.
Nordic Living
We draw a lot of inspiration from Scandinavian design and the philosophy behind it — the idea that everyday objects should be beautiful, that slowness is not inefficiency, that a home shared with animals can still be a considered, intentional space.
Nordic Living is where we explore those ideas. Life with pets, lived well.
Sustainability
We try to make things that are better for the planet. We do not always succeed, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Sustainability is where we write honestly about our materials, our supply chain, our packaging, and the gap between where we are and where we want to be.
We think transparency is more useful than perfection.
Rescue
A significant portion of the animals who use ELARO products came from rescue situations. We think that matters. Rescue is where we share stories from the organizations doing this work, practical information about fostering and adoption, and updates on ELARO's own involvement in animal welfare.
If you have ever thought about fostering or adopting, this is a good place to start.
Pet Knowledge
Carefully researched, clearly written information about animal behavior, health, and care. We work with veterinarians and animal behaviorists to make sure what we publish is accurate. We write for people who want to understand their animals, not just manage them.
